Don’t Do the Fucking Wave
Great blog post by Adam Lauridsen explaining the pitfalls of becoming a successful NBA team. On Sunday’s game against Dallas, for some strange reason, the entire crowd did the wave during Kelenna Azubuike’s free throws. I’ve been to probably 50+ Warrior games in my lifetime, and I’ve never seen the wave. The wave is shit you do at high school football games, not NBA-playoff-race-during-down-to-the-wire-really-important-free-throws. Bottom line, its ridiculously amateur and pretty much proved that Warrior games are mostly filled with bandwagon yuppies who can afford the Laker-like seat prices now.
But hey, new Warrior fans are great; the more the merrier. I’m all for having fun at Warrior games, because that’s what they should be.
Some advice for new Warrior fans: act like you know. And don’t do the fucking wave. Ever. Again.
